My students are extremely curious, and since it is their first year in an all-day structured program, they transition often from guided instruction to free choice learning. We have learning center time and a state-approved curriculum to keep them on track with other children their age in our state. I tell my students that they are the best kids in Texas, and our motto is, "We are all friends."
I teach pre-kindergarten students at a Title I school in Texas where we are currently recovering from Hurricane Harvey.
All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. The majority of my students are English language learners and have lots of excitement about school.
We are still waiting on our new school to be built following Hurricane Harvey in 2017.
My Project
Mostly, my students come straight from their home to my classroom. Pre-Kindergarten is such a new and exciting time! So exciting that sometimes, my little learners forget to go potty in the restroom and have an accident on themselves.
My students need extra clothing for times when making it to the potty just did not happen in time.
We even see many incidents of children who can't make it to a trash can or restroom in time when they are sick. Not all parents are able to provide regular uniform clothing and extra clothes for 'just in case' moments.
Thank you for supporting my students with clothing needs such as pants and tshirts for times when little accidents happen.
