My students need an iPad and case for our classroom and our integrated math carnival for an interactive way to learn new skills and practice old ones.

My Students

Do you remember how hard it was to learn math formulas? Didn't you love having games to learn these new skills? My students struggle with using paper and pencil to learn formulas and concepts in math. Games on the iPad are a great way for my students to maintain these skills.

My students are 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in a Title 1 school in Illinois.

Some of my students struggle with being able to supply the necessary materials needed for class. My students have specific learning disabilities in the area of math which requires us to use many hands-on activities.

My Project

Having an end of the year carnival for my students will allow them to have a fun way to review all the concepts/formulas that we have learned throughout the year. This will allow students to engage and teach other students in the school about what they have learned. Besides having a popcorn machine (thank you past donors), my students feel it is important to add in technology. My students would like to be able to teach other students games and tricks they learned by using the iPad.

This project is important to me because my students have worked extremely hard this school year and I feel it is necessary to reward my students.

This is also a great way for my students to engage with the rest of the school.
