Mrs. Augenbraun from Fort Mill SC is requesting Books through DonorsChoose, the #1 classroom funding site for teachers.

Extend the Love for Our Books

My students need the opportunity to continue to love and enjoy their favorite titles. My goal is to repair many of our favorite titles for continued use in the years to come.

My Students

Our library media center is an active hub for learning in our school. As the Media Specialist, it is my goal to share my love for reading with each and every one of my students.

Our collection is made up of many well loved titles that circulate frequently.

While my students are excited to read and explore new books, they especially love revisiting old "friends". When our old friends are damaged, it is oftentimes heartbreaking for both the student and myself.

My Project

Many of the titles in our collection have been well loved and are in need of spine repairs.

A Thermobind machine will extend the life of our titles, allowing many more students the opportunity to enjoy reading.

By having the ability to repair older books more of my library budget monies will be available to purchase new books rather than replacing older, damaged titles.

Through the help of generous donors and the purchase of a Thermobind machine, we will have not only the ability to repair damaged books. We will also have the ability to create books of student works going forward. How exciting will it be to provide students the chance to "publish" their own masterpieces!
