My students make me laugh every day. I love my students. They are eager to learn new techniques and mediums in the art classroom. It's so fun to experience a light bulb moment with them, whether it is capturing their idea on paper or canvas or watching them master a medium or watching them as they proudly show off the work they've just created.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences and they incorporate their unique talents and experiences in their art work.
They learn from each other, they help each other and they want each other to succeed.
My students often take their art projects home to give as gifts to family members and as a teacher it makes me proud that they have created a work they are especially proud of to share it with others.
Alcohol inks are bold, vibrant, transparent, detailed and loose. The variety this medium will provide my students is limitless and allow them to be creative and experiment no matter their skill set. The colors are bold and exquisite and colorful pieces attract so many students and viewers of art work. Alcohol inks are gaining popularity in the art world and will give my students another tool to work with, another outlet and opportunity to compete in art contests in order to win money and scholarships. It is also another addition to their art portfolio as they apply for college scholarships in the arts.
Alcohol inks are an art form that will often match your mood and emotions as an artist.
Whenever a student is working from their emotions and experiences they are more invested in the piece they are creating. Working with alcohol inks, as a new medium, will allow them to continue to grow as artists, pushing the boundaries of what they already know and allowing them to explore beyond what they thought they could do.
