My students need one LCD projector to use in all four major subject area classes.

I teach a group of 8th grade inclusion special education students. Half of the class is special education and the other half is behavior management. In summary, this class provides many students with a second chance at an education. My students have prior disciplinary problems, thus severely impacting their achievement. Despite being labeled as a special education classroom, my students have the highest benchmark scores in the entire school. The school is one of the lowest-performing and resourced schools in the state, yet the students all work terribly hard for success. I am so very proud of each and every one of my wonderful students.
My students continue to amaze me more and more each and every day. Our school suffers from a severe lack of supplies. My classroom does not have chalkboards, so all information is distributed via worksheets. Being in such a technological time period, it would be wonderful to convey information in a lesson through a PowerPoint through using an LCD projector. Thankfully, due to a prior grant, my special education students have a small class set of laptops, designed to specifically fit their needs. However, my students are deficient in their presentation skills. By having access to an LCD projector, my students will gain confidence in themselves and learn the importance of public speaking before entering high school.
By having an LCD projector in their classroom, they can learn to convey information to their peers and gain valuable public speaking skills. In having a classroom with various types of learners in it, an LCD projector will allow me as the teacher to reach more students on a different level within all lessons of reading, math, science, and social studies.
With your gracious help, my students will be given the opportunity to succeed. Their achievements thus far will be rewarded, driving them to do better. Having a second chance means the world to my students, and they want to make the most of it. Despite being in a low-income urban area, they make the most of their situation, and are entitled to the opportunity to receive an excellent education and attain achievement.
