Help me give my students ways to explore and practice handwriting in a unique way with a Lakeshore Trace & Write Alphabet Center and a Draw & Write Touch Board!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school is located in the Dallas area and we serve amazing scholars in the community. Our building is very diverse, and we have a high population of students in poverty. We strive to help create loving relationships that will help them learn and grow!
My classroom is full of joy, energy and 22 loving 4 year olds who are ready to learn!
We focus our time on learning through play. The students in my classroom come from low socio-economic homes, and/or may be learning English as a second language. For many of my students, this will be their first time in school.
My classroom is a full day Pre-K program in our district! We will be working our minds and bodies every day from 8:00 am-4:00 pm. We are excited to play, learn, explore, connect, and grow!
My Project
In Pre-K we truly learn following a hands on approach. My students spend a good portion of our day in free choice learning centers. One of the places they like to explore is our writing center. We are looking for some new materials to liven it up and give students some new things to use as they develop as writers.
My students love to interact and explore with materials that provide them with a new experience.
I want to add the Alphabet Light Up Board and the Trace, Write and Draw board to enhance our letter formation. With the paper, Post-it notes, crayons and markers it gives students a chance to create letters, books, and notes for loved ones!
