This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I work in an inner-city school located in an impoverished area. Most of my students are living at or below the poverty line. Even the most basic materials are in short supply, which means reaching into my own pockets every year for crayons and pencils. Despite the obstacles, my students come to school eager to learn each day. There is never a dull moment in my classroom.
We laugh, we learn, and we work hard.
Thank you for visiting my project, and any help you offer is greatly appreciated by myself, my students, and their families!
My Project
Modeling is key in kindergarten!
A teacher easel will provide my students with endless possibilities to keep them engaged and collaborating together.
This easel would be used in every part of our day! The easel would easily hold our big books for read aloud and provide us the ability to create anchor charts. Anchor charts are a great resource for students to use when working independently. Magnetic letters, numbers, counters, etc would make it an excellent spot for students to collaborate in small groups to build their understanding with a hands on approach. This easel has a bonus because it includes another whiteboard with lines which would help my students with their fine motor skills and give them a new way to work on their handwriting! I have several students each year that would benefit from this feature! Please help me better my classroom and the learning experiences of my students. Your donations are very much appreciated!
