Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
A day in our classroom is just about eagerness to try new things. Students need to have enough materials to explore and expand.
My students live in low poverty and have very limited resources.
Being part of a Head Start program I would like to give them as many opportunities to gain knowledge. They are eager to try new things and explore around the classroom. The students are energetic and willing to learn new things with the proper materials.
My Project
My students need hand on activities such as Play-doh, eye droppers and magnet wands. They also will enjoy the light table and open their imagination. My students will be able to explore science topics that we don't get to discover because of resources. They will be able to look at math manipulatively in different ways than the common numbers. They will also be able to explore different games with out having to share because they are not enough. They will learn concepts such as counting, sorting, physical science, magnets and many more.
Giving children the ability to explore and open their imagination will allow them to enjoy school more.
It will also allow them to keep fighting for their dreams and know that with a little help anything is possible.
