My students and I are from a small town, rural area down south in Louisiana. Since our area is rural, the median income is very low and the poverty level is high. I want to give my students experiences of the world.
My students love to explore new knowledge in exciting and new ways.
Their desire to learn and know things is almost insatiable. We hope one of these projects will help us continue the excitement of learning and improving literacy.
Traveling the world and having adventures is everyone's secret desire. However that's not always possible for most of us, but we can experience those places and adventures through reading. I want to take my students on these adventures as much as possible. Scholastic News is the way I can share the world with my students.
Adventures in reading can take us places!
Through Scholastic News, I can take my students on these adventures to learn about the world around us. The students and I can go on these adventures all year long through the monthly subscription of the Scholastic magazine.
