Exploring the World Through Reading and Science

Help me give my students access to engaging, age-appropriate nonfiction texts through Scholastic News and Science Spin so they can build reading skills, explore science topics, and grow their love of learning.”

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Ore's classroom raised $290

My Project

My 1st graders are curious, enthusiastic learners who are eager to explore the world around them. To nurture their love of reading and introduce them to nonfiction texts, I’m requesting a year-long subscription to Scholastic News and Science Spin magazines.

These engaging resources will help my students build reading comprehension skills, learn about current events, and dive into exciting science topics at a level they can understand.

Each issue includes colorful photographs, age-appropriate vocabulary, and fun activities that reinforce learning.

Many of my students come from homes where access to reading materials is limited. These magazines will not only support classroom instruction but also give my students something to take home and share with their families, helping to build a culture of literacy and curiosity beyond the school walls.

With your help, we can bring the joy of learning and discovery into our classroom every week. Thank you for supporting our growing readers and future scientists!
