We are a Kindergarten through 12th grade school. Many of our students have come to us via other schools that were not a good fit for them. Here at CCA /DPA, we are able to create an environment for our students which allows them to feel safe, grow, learn, and mature. Many of the students are at risk and have parents with financial difficulties but the school always comes through for the students and their families.
90% of our student population is receiving the free lunch program.
We also offer an after school day care program until 5:00p.m. to care for our students while their parents are working. The staff at CCA/DPA is very close to each of their students, the classroom sizes are very small which allows our teachers to reach and work one on one with each of the students. The staff attends students' family events, participates in community activities and works towards ensuring each student is achieving their academic goals.
The students here at CCA/DPA come from very diverse backgrounds. The staff consistently works with the parents to provide
My Project
The ability to use Chromebooks as a resource for many of these students would be a great benefit. Most of our student population do not have access to computers at home nor printers. At our school we only have a few computers for the entire student population to utilize.
The addition of chrome books in the classroom would benefit our students that would be able to use these to complete in class assignments, do research, and engage in 21st century skills.
As well, the Special Education department along with the Reading Lab will utilize the chrome books for intervention and remediation.
