I teach 9-12th grade students in the field of social sciences. Students in my class are inquisitive, passionate, creative thinkers and learners. These students are eager to become college and career ready students and productive life long learners. My students come from all sorts of backgrounds.
However, nevertheless these students do not allow their home situations to interfere with learning and their overall goals.
I teach a total of 150 students.
A day in my classroom consists of fully engaged students, working in groups, researching and discussing trending issues of today. Students are allowed to use a variety learning strategies and learning styles to convey their messages. In addition, students are often encouraged to be creative, take risk in their thoughts, ideas and to respect their peers views. social science allows students to be experts in their craft, articulate in retelling the content and open to others opinions and viewpoints.
