Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are excited about creating. Our school is located in the rural Mississippi Delta. We are a Title I school where 100% of our students qualify for free lunch. My students don't have many opportunities outside of school to explore the arts. We are a very small community.

My students are so excited to learn about artists and mediums.

I enjoy seeing the excitement in their eyes. When students create artwork, they are filled with pride and love to show it to their other teachers.

My Project

This project is for a telescope kit for my students to view the moon and planets. My students have never viewed space through a telescope. I believe that they would LOVE to see our moon up close as well as see other planets! I'm also asking for a book for students to use to find other items in space to view.

The Google virtual reality goggles kit will allow students to explore art gallery, take field trips around the world, and even view outerspace.

The Google Goggles kit also includes the Best Buy Geek service to protect this kit for years of use. Thank you for considering this project to give my students the world and space!
