My second graders are amazing young ladies and gentlemen. They are learning and growing everyday.
In our classroom we are not afraid to make mistakes, we give second chances, and we work through problems together as a team.
My students are creative, hardworking, and eager to please. They become very excited when they solve problems and accomplish their goals.
Our motto is if you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn no one can stop you!
My Project
I would like to be able to have an aquarium in my classroom. This will give my students the opportunity to explore the aquarium ecosystem. A classroom aquarium offers a simplified view of a freshwater ecosystem. It is important for my students to have opportunities for hands on science. One of our second grade science standards includes exploring an aquatic ecosystem. Currently, I have no materials to use for my students to experience this standard hands on. This aquarium will provide my students with what they need in order to do this. Looking at pictures and videos is not as engaging as having an actual aquarium in our classroom. The accessories and refill materials will ensure that my aquarium will stay in working order throughout the school year.
