Be the change in the world and help children read at home and keep up with current events. Students can learn all day, but if they have nothing to read at home or be excited about, they will not get the full advantage of reading.
My students are from all around the world and attend a public school.
When asked who has books at home 6 students raised their hands. More than half my students are struggling readers and dislike reading because of that. Scholastic News is an easy read for students to practice reading and read on their level. Many of my students who are struggling readers love to use the pictures in books to help them figure out words or enjoy hearing about what's
With your donation students can use the magazines in class and learn about current events while using the pictures to help guide them. By having the magazine leveled it will allow all students a chance to explore reading and not feel left out. Your donation and kind heart will allow each one of my students to explore new things and have confidence as a reader. It's not fair to a struggling reader that they can't read a magazine because the words are too hard. With Scholastic News they are able to connect with the world and be a good reader in school and at home.
Each and every student in my class will be so grateful for your kindness.
They will be able to do expository writing from the magazine and practice reading magazines that they learn from. You donation could teach a child something new every time they open up the magazine
