Help me give my students paint canvases, a variety of paint brushes, and aprons.

My students come from families who desire for their children to receive a more challenging curriculum that heavily involves problem-solving. We have a STEM science lab and a STEM math lab, yet when I ask what my students what they might like to do the most, over half of them say "ART"!
When given an option of activities to do during free time - my kids choose to draw every time!!!
In a world full of extra-curricular activities, sports and music are prevalent. I want to give my students opportunities to tap into their creative side.
In an effort to offer more student-centered self-learning exploration experiences, I will need to supply my class with art materials.
Art education has been proven to benefit the mind growth of our children. In order to prepare them for the 21st century, lessons in art education allow the students to explore their creativity while developing their critical thinking skills. They will learn how to face frustration and positive ways to get past it. The children will experience moments where they will need to practice self-control. Unfortunately, art education is disappearing from our schools. My students are missing this very beneficial component of brain development.
In second grade, the children are learning how to take turns, view things from other's perspectives, and work with others to achieve a common goal.
During any given art lesson, opportunities to strengthen these areas abound! Painting is a whole-brain activity that utilizes both sides of the brain - right side for critical thinking and left side for creativity. Whole-brain learning creates a child-focused on learning with not much mental capacity left for misbehaving!
