My students are always excited to learn new concepts. I have had the pleasure of teaching awesome scholars with multiple disabilities in grades K through 2. My classroom consist of students with multiple disabilities that include autism, learning disabled and speech and language impaired. Learning may seem easy and natural for their peers, but it is neither easy nor natural for my scholars. Despite their challenges, my students are eager to come to school and are ready to learn.
Students in my classroom are creative, amazing and motivated learners that love hands on activities.
They come to school each day wanting to learn and complete task that may be a challenge some days, but they will TRY!!. Learning happens in the classroom for students and teacher. My students inspire me to move forward despite personal obstacles. Truly Inspirational!
My goal is to provide chromebooks for small group learning. Although, their learning styles differ, technology is a common interest. Having a chromebook in my classroom literacy station, provides independent learning . The chromebooks will maintain student engagement and motivation for a positive literacy experience. Students in my classroom are visual learners and would thrive with the picture book apps on a chrome book. There are also educational reading applications that would make learning meaningful. Independent reading is a struggle for most of my students, a chrome book provides my students the opportunity explore a literacy experience not possible with a traditional book.
