My third grade class is full of the sweetest kids! They are bright and positive. They have such a joy for life and love when lessons get them up and moving around. My class loves art and music. They even want to challenge me to a rap battle. I am 99% sure I will fail miserably! They are so kind and thoughtful. I have never received so many pictures and letters.
They have the best imaginations which can sometimes get them off task, but their creativity is endless.
I have a wide spectrum of abilities in all subject areas. Some can multiply big numbers in their heads while others still count on their fingers when adding or subtracting numbers under 10. I also have a few “wigglers.” They are up out of their chairs or tipping them back on the back legs. It is a challenge, but a joy to teach this diverse group of learners.
My Project
I have requested books that talk about different cultures and different time periods. My class has a great curiosity about the world around them and the people in it. These stories will engage their curiosity while teaching them about other cultures and time periods.
Being able to sample other cultures through literature will open up the vast world in the palm of their hands.
These stories combined with noise canceling headphones will allow my students to focus on their reading while being transported to new worlds and eras. Please help my students experience our diverse world and complex history through books.
