Help me give my students K'NEX Renewable Energy Set, Snap Circuits and a Newton's Cradle to explore energy transfers and a set of live plants from different biomes.
I teach 6th grade science in a low income/ high poverty school system. My students face lots of struggles. I strive to instill a love for learning and inspire my students to do great things. I don't want my students to miss out on hands-on learning activities due to a lack of funds. They are great kids that face a lot of things outside of school.
I want them to know that through hard work they can accomplish any goal.

My Project
In 6th grade science we explore all types of energy and energy transformations. These kits will help to show several different types of examples of transfers. In one of the kits students will get to build replicas of alternative energy sources to explore. The Jerico plant is an amazing plant we will research and observe as we study plants from different biomes in our ecosystem unit.
These supplies will help my students get hands on experience with all different types of energy.
I believe you learn best from hand on experience. All of these items will help my students to better understand energy.
