My students need learning toys to allow them to explore how electricity works, using learning activities like Snap Circuits, littleBits, and Squishy Circuits.
The students at our school live in suburb of a city in Oklahoma, and while many of the parents are very supportive of classroom needs, our school district is the lowest funded school district per pupil in the entire state of Oklahoma. Even though our students have many advantages and opportunities at home, our school cannot always afford basic items for students because of our funding.
We have recently begun a Makerspace in the library at our school.
Our students have loved being able to explore and discover by applying hands-on learning. I want to open more avenues for them to explore!
My Project
Our school has recently opened a Makerspace. The students of all ages enjoy the hands on learning experiences the Makerspace has to offer. I want to offer more possibilities for them.
Our learners are fascinated by electricity.
When students have the opportunity to explore and discover things for themselves, they learn more fully. By providing learning games such as Snap Circuits, littleBits, and Squishy Circuits, students can apply concepts about electricity as well as technology, physics, and more.
Students at our school are very motivated learners. I want to provide as many opportunities as they can possibly have. By providing these activities, students can learn about the world around them with hands on learning activities.
