My Project

Not all students get the opportunity to travel to other locations and experience the world and its amazing cultures. Through the process of batik, students will learn about the wax-resist dying process that has been around since before the 6th or 7th century. Students will learn about the different cultures that have used the batik process to decorate their fabrics as well as the cultures which continue to use it today.

Students will be able to experiment with the process of wax-resist batik and will be given the opportunity to explore the cultures around the world which use it.
