Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Many people cringe at the idea of teaching middle school students, but these sixth and seventh graders are at the perfect age to really start exploring the amazing world around them and discovering the possibilities for their future. Unfortunately, my students live in a very low income area of Oklahoma City and often do not have the resources and experiences that others take for granted.
With the right opportunities, I know they will find passion in science.
My students have creative minds, outgoing personalities, and tremendous potential. All they need is a little help along the way.
My Project
Many students in high poverty areas miss out on the opportunities and experiences that inspire children to explore and pursue the things that interest them. They often never even realize how much bigger and more fascinating the world around them is simply because they never have the chance to check it out for themselves.
By giving the students hands on experiences like dissection, we can bring them out of the bubble they are used to and into a whole new world of infinite possibilities.
When students get to explore things in new ways, they begin to discover new passions, skills, and dreams that they never knew they had. By donating to our project, you will be helping to inspire young scientific minds to think bigger and bolder than they ever have before.
