Help me give my students dollhouse dolls that look like them, a variety of sensory fidgets that they can use throughout the day, and games that we can play that will support social and emotional learning.
I am fortunate to work with a diverse group Pre-K through 5th grade students. They are creative problem-solvers who work hard to overcome challenges. They have hearts of gold, and I feel blessed to work with each of them.
My students beam with pride and excitement as they learn new skills and share with others.
My Project
My students will be so excited to have a variety of fidget toys that they can squish, pull, bend, and explore as they complete their work in class. Sometimes having a squishy brain ball or object to hold is just what a student needs to meet their sensory needs and help them to focus on the learning at hand.
I look forward to seeing my students' faces as they see the dolls that look like and resemble them; the dollhouse in my room is one of my students' favorite places to play and practice their communication skills with a friend or two.
Students will enjoy listening to and reading The Color Monster: A Story of Emotions. They will learn to identify and express their own emotions and will be able to help our dolls act them out as well!
