Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I work with a diverse group of students including students with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, and English language learners. My students are creative, smart, and wonderfully gifted in ways that would amaze you! Despite the challenges my students face, they somehow manage to keep smiling and keep progressing every day. They are full of light and hope, and their motivation inspires me to be the best teacher that I can be. My students work tirelessly to be successful and as such, we celebrate every success-major or minor.

My Project

These Samsung Galaxy Tablets will enable my students to access a wide variety of apps that will improve social-emotional development, mindfulness, self-regulation, fine motor & visual motor skills, language, reading, math, and writing. Help open up a galaxy of learning opportunities for my students! These tablets are perfect for independent work, centers and even the calm-down area of my classroom.

Tablet apps will inspire even my most reluctant learners to work on critical skills that will set them up for academic success and greater independence.

My students struggle to stay engaged in independent work, so the guidance that targeted apps offer will maximize learning time.
