"You'll love our school," I heard one of my students say to a new student the other day. I teach at a unique school in our district which is part of a close-knit community. Students are eager to learn and excited to come to school each and every day.
My students get so excited every time they are learning hands-on science activities!
I teach a class of 24 students who are from a variety of diverse cultures and backgrounds. Many are from low-income families, which receive fee and reduced-price lunch. My students love learning through hands-on engaging activities, where they get to learn by exploring. My students are problem solvers, thinkers, and leaders. I want them to have the opportunities to be successful in whatever they choose to be when they grow up.
My students love learning science in my classroom. I have 24 students who have access to only a few computers in my classroom. Having another laptop for them to share and do research would be amazing! My students love looking up information they just learned in science and applying it to their learning. We use many science websites that have simulations, videos, and hands-on creating in which the students need to use a laptop.
My students will increase their learning by using a laptop in their science groups.
Students can project information from the science website which we use and they can discuss and share what they are learning.
