Help me give my students the writing tools they need including the pencil sharpener which will sharpen large sized pencils for their writing projects using pencils and crayons to motivate them to continue learning through writing and coloring.
I have 22 students who have never been in school. They have recently discovered the art of writing and drawing and have used all of the classroom colors we had. They are so excited when it comes to drawing that they draw a lot, but also used up everything we had. They are just learning how to use writing and coloring tools in class. Many students are from low-social economic backgrounds so their resources from home are few if any. I have a mix of Hispanic and black students. We have started blending much like a family. They are now learning to become a family of learners.
They are just now starting to write.
Their journals are filled with personal writings and pictures they love to share. I would love to see them continue to explore the world of writing and drawing using jumbo pencils and jumbo crayons. I am hoping to make books out of their writings and drawings.
My students are greatly motivated to write. These tools are essential to little hands who are just learning how to write and draw about their letters, words and world around them. They are exploring things they have never seen before. My students are inner city kids who have a lot of learning to discover with their teacher's guidance.
These tools will make a great difference in acquiring reading, writing and thinking skills as they grow up.
These pencils are designed for little hands and the triangular pencils will be used for students who need small motor skill development, as well as the crayons. Of course, a pencil sharpener designed for these pencils is also essential.
