My Students

The freshman class of our school is a pretty large and diverse group of students. Our student body comes from every socio-economic setting. Some students have access to the technology they need while many come to school without.

To be effective learners students must have access to technology.

In 9th grade students are exposed to different genres of literature and learn to analyze the text critically. With internet access we can reach far and wide to find various types of text no found in an old dusty textbook.

My Project

My ninth graders often come to class with little to no technology. As education continues to move more toward technology it is difficult to give the students the experience they need. Our school has labs that must be shared with 1400 students. With testing and other classes requiring computers it is difficult to get quality time for our own projects.

To give my students the technological experience they deserve we need more classroom chrome books.

These chrome books will allow groups a shared computer to research and collaborate on writing projects. This real world experience is vital for my students to succeed.
