Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am requesting classroom rewards such as logic puzzles. Classroom rewards serve many purposes in the classroom.
Classroom rewards can be a great way to boost a student's self-esteem, encourage positive behavior, and help motivate students to complement their intrinsic motivation.
My students are curious and motivated learners. They come from very diverse cultural backgrounds, and many are receiving free or reduced-price lunch. I am requesting classroom rewards such as logic puzzles to acknowledge their perseverance and citizenship in the classroom.
I find that rewards increase participation, encourage students to try their best, and motivate them to work together. Rewards help my young students monitor their own behavior by tracking rewards received . Positive reinforcement of good behavior works best for me and my students and the use of rewards has been shown to be effective as seen in modified behavior by students.
