My Students

We are an active, hands-on, diverse class of 2nd grade learners! We love to explore areas of math, science, language arts, music, and art with materials and activities that are engaging to our minds and bodies. Our families are in a low economic area and struggle to make ends meet. School is where kids can go to feel safe and supported.

Learning on the go and "thinking outside of the box" inspires our learning every day!

Donations made to our classroom will help us continue to build knowledge and expose us to the great things the world has to offer!

My Project

In our classroom, students learn best by "doing" science. Encouraging my students to think outside the box while experimenting with different materials helps students understand that these concepts are everywhere in their world.

Being able to manipulate materials and actually design experiments to test concepts around physics will help my students take an active role in their learning!

LEGOs and K'NEX allow my students to explore science concepts independently. They can also be used in other content areas that require modeling or creating.

With the right tools at their fingertips, students will be able to design, test, explain, and expand their learning!
