My Students

We are a school based on low-income families. Some of our students are from single parents who face challenges every day. We are a small center in a rural community.

We believe every child deserves a chance to be successful!

Our children learn as they play, they learn language skills as they cook in housekeeping, they learn literacy skills as they listen to stories. They develop math skills as they sort food and count spiders. Our children learn based on their own individual interests.

My Project

We have a great playground but have very limited items to play and explore with. The children will be able to play with the sand and water table outside experimenting with various science tools. They will develop their scientific inquiry skills through objects and exploring with materials. In our writing area we have one desk and one chair we would like to add a bigger table and add more chairs. I believe the children need an inviting place where they can sit down and enjoy writing and drawing in their journals. I want to add silly pens and pencils, various little notebooks and cards so that they will want to sit and practice their writing skills.
