My students are critical thinkers, real-world problem solvers and are ready to take on the challenge of science! We use experiments in the classroom so that students can learning by DOING.
Allowing students to manipulate science, to be in control of it, allows for a deeper level of understanding.
I want my students to have access to the proper materials and safety equipment in my class.
I strive to help students feel comfortable performing experiments and using science to explain everyday natural phenomenon.
Science, in addition to being a way of thinking, should be touched, performed, seen, and explored. I want to give my students every opportunity to do that.
My Project
Throughout the school year, my science students will have opportunities to perform science experiments. My materials would ensure that every child would be able to take part in the experiment and have the safety materials to do so.
My students deserve to experience science firsthand, to be the ones in control of their own learning.
I know my students will be more invested and excited about science when they are able to do themselves.
From chemical reactions to designing their own circuits, I know my students are ready for the challenge! Science experiments should exciting, safe, and available to everyone to is determined to learn!
