Imagine that you have never had the chance to leave your hometown and visit another city. Imagine that you have never had the chance to visit another state. Imagine that you get that excited because you are dining out and it is just a fast food restaurant. Imagine that the tallest building you have seen in your life is about 8 floors high. Well, some of my students have never experienced life outside of our small rural town and have no clue of the world that surrounds them.
The majority of my students are at risk males who come from low-income single family homes.
They have free or reduced lunches and live very simple lives. I would like your help in funding a trip that will take these students to our Nation's Capital. It would be an adventure of a lifetime for them and one they could remember for the rest of their lives. We want our student to be successful and sometimes we have to take them out of the classroom and let them see new things. Please make a donation towards our trip to Washington DC. It would be greatly appreciated by these young men.
My Project
For some of the children participating in this trip, this will be the very first time they have ever left their hometown to visit another city or state.
