My Students

My 33 sixth graders are incredibly talented, creative, and willing to learn! We are preparing them for the huge transition from elementary to middle school, so it’s going to be a wild ride! My students are so special because we are a diverse group and we aim to be global learners and practice acceptance and celebrate different ethnicities and cultures. Not only are we learning core subjects, we are also learning how to be better human beings. They are world changers and I am so thankful to be their teacher. :)

My Project

Hello! I would love to do a novel study on Harry Potter with my 33 students. The ELA themes and skills we learn each week can be connected with this magical novel in a way that is engaging and relevant to our students today! I would love for each of my students to have a copy of this book. We would read a chapter or so every week and practice skills such as theme, sentence structure, writing, and comparing and contrasting. At the end of the year, I would love to do a fun art project and create wands with them! Thank you for checking out our Donor’s Choose, and please help us unlock the magical world of Harry Potter!
