Help me give my students a hands-on science experience by providing a set atomic organic and inorganic models along with various other scientific 3-D representations.
My students are in the 9th and 10th graders from a rural/low-income community. They are filled with big dreams for their future. They are wonderful, compassionate, and driven individuals. My students are ready to take advantage of opportunities, to better their lives and improve their community in the process.
My students are starting to plan for their future.
There are students interested in continuing their education through college classes and also through learning a trade. Some of my students plan to enter the workforce right after high school.
My Project
My students love to learn science through hands-on learning. This is my second year teaching, and I have very few models to use during instruction. I believe being able to see and feel the models will help ideas and theories become more focused in my student's minds.
Students will be able to explore various environmental science concepts with the use of 3-D representations such as the atomic models, orbital model set, and STEM explorations levers pulleys.
The models will keep my students interested in challenging concepts that are new to them. I hope these models will help engage students that have previously been uninterested in learning new science concepts.
