I have a great group of 24 kindergarteners who look forward to what this year has to offer. My students especially enjoy hands-on and engaging activities which they will remember far beyond the classroom. Throughout the day, the students visit many different learning centers that assist them with practicing the different skills needed in order to be successful in kindergarten.
All of my students are unique in their own way.
Because of this, I find it so important to approach learning from a variety of perspectives. My students seem to learn best through using manipulatives and concrete objects. My goal as an educator is to provide rich learning experiences which will meet the needs of all learners in my classroom.
My Project
My kindergarteners tend to learn best through hands-on and engaging learning activities. Throughout the day, the children visit different literacy, math, and social/emotional centers which align with our state's academic standards.
Materials such as the alphabet and number manipulatives will help my students to learn basic skills in an engaging and fun way.
The dramatic play items will also teach children how to play and work cooperatively with peers, all while having fun in the classroom!
These products will not only allow my students to practice letter and sound recognition, but they will also allow students to begin blending sounds in order to create words. I do my best to differentiate instruction so that I am able to meet the needs of all students in my classroom. I am hoping these materials will assist me with this goal!
