Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are active third and fourth graders eager to learn. This is a charter school so class size is small and bully is not tolerated. My students come from different backgrounds so their individual educational background is also different. These students want to learn in a variety of ways, from hands on, reading to work out solution, working with partners or internet. Giving my third and fourth graders as many ways to discover solutions will better prepare them for the real world.

My Project

Having students from different backgrounds is a challenge. Some of my students have not experienced life on a farm or big city. Some students cannot image how animals, plants and people survive in different regions. To be able to show short clips or pictures of what we are studying would enable the students to better understand the concept.

Having the opportunity to show different regions of the world and how the environment depends on everything working together would show students how the world is the same, but also different.

I want to be able to show pictures and short clips on the laptop so the students have the opportunity to see and ask questions about the world.
