Our students are a diverse group of learners. As diversity can be a challenge, it is the goal of the school to provide our students with differentiated instruction and a wide range of curriculum activities that will engage all of our students in a variety of curriculum areas that will hold their interest.
Our school has been on the cutting edge of various new and upcoming educational endeavors, and engineering would be another great presence in our school.
We pride ourselves in creating an environment that is top-notch and on the cutting edge of the needs of our community and the career fields of the whole nation.
This project will enhance all of the aspects of my curriculum. Those students who are otherwise not interested in traditional learning will be intrigued to be a part of a whole new way of learning science, mathematics, English, art and many other creative areas of learning.
My Project
We are starting our Robotics Class this year and we are in need of these expansion sets to give our students more power to build larger robots. These extra pieces will add to the variety of things they can create and build. The MindStorm kits have many fun things to build but do lack the ability to create higher level robotic creations that will intrigue my students. We are looking at adding a variety of other aspects to the class that will bring more excitement to the classroom. Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics is the bases of this class and bringing higher level of thinking by expansion is one way to create this environment.
