My Students

All students are special and deserve the best education we can provide them. I want to open up the world for our students!

We live in a rural county in Florida and while we have lots of visitors that come to our beaches each year, some of our students never have the opportunity to leave our state.

I want to challenge my students to learn more about the world around them.

Our K-4 students need to learn how to work together with other students from different cultures and belief systems. We need to find ways to teach our students to overcome their differences to work together to achieve great things.

My Project

By purchasing a Logitech Webcam for our classroom, I will be able to help my students explore the world outside of their community. I plan on taking my students on a trip around the world by using Microsoft's Mystery Skype classroom adventures.

Students will learn how to work together to discover more about the world around them helping them to gain a better understanding of other cultures around the world.

During our travels, students will build their critical thinking, collaboration, and geography skills as they build an appreciation for other cultures. This will allow students that are never able to leave the state to broaden their horizons and their future potential.
