Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of our students have limited access or no access to technology other than what is provided at school. Therefore, they get very excited when they get to use Chromebooks in Spanish class for fun activities during centers or independent assignments. Having devices in our classroom also allows students to access other resources available to them to differentiate their learning path.

The excitement when they get to use the computers to review and practice language skills through apps like Kahoot is indescribable!

It has been a long process to acquire class sets of Chromebooks to be used in our Spanish specials class. Now that we have them, we need student friendly and easy to access and manage charging stations that fit in limited spaces in the classroom. These charging towers will help ensure the computers are well cared for and easily maintained to last a long a time. Most importantly, having students self manage the deployment of the devices will maximize my instructional time with them.
