My Students

I have a wonderful group of 4th and 5th grade students. We celebrate each and every child.

My students and their learning needs are diverse.

I am constantly looking for ways to engage my students and to best meet each of their needs. Differentiation is key, and I want to provide the best opportunities for each and every child. I seek motivating and engaging activities for my students.

My Project

This field trip would be a fantastic opportunity for my students. The Tillamook Forestry Center has a beautiful exhibit hall and offers educational field trips to students. Specifically our students would get to dramatize the history of the forest all the way back to the days of the Native Americans. They also learn how to be good stewards of the forest for the future. The center also offers a fantastic exhibit hall with many hands-on activities. Finally, being at the center allows for a terrific scavenger hunt for students as they go into chaperoned groups outside into nature looking for specific areas, items, and the fire look-out tower.
