My Students
I work in a school where 99% of students come from low income households receiving free or reduced lunch. I teach in a classroom full of students from different backgrounds who all come together for one common goal…to learn and succeed!
We all work hard each time we’re in the classroom to come together as a community who understands each other, holds each other accountable, and cares for one another.
As a teacher who grew up in similar situations, I like to help my students believe that their goals are achievable, and with hard work and dedication so much is possible.
My Project
Keeping my students engaged and interisted is always easier when they have something eye popping or an option in colors for them to choose from. Having the colorful post-its, tag board, and poster boards will get my students excited about what they're doing.
The large red bean bag will offer more options in our classroom library where we currently have one special chair which EVERYONE wants to sit in!
Physical education is always fun but can be repetitive at times when were playing the same games. Having the option of different equipment in the classroom will broaden our ideas and engagement.
