This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a SPED teacher in a Title 1 School, I teach our special education student in the general education classroom. My goal as an educator is create a positive learning environment in which we strengthen our abilities, zest for learning, creativity, ingenuity, and community involvement.

Although we have diverse abilities, given the necessary accommodations and tool we are able to reach our potential and beyond!

My Project

During small group instruction the students will use the Apple iPads to access digital resources provided by our district to reinforce foundational skills.Additionally, they will develop their writing skills and become authors, publishers and creators of digital story tellers.

To help meet the different needs of the students I teach, the Apple iPads will be used as a tool for accommodation.

For example, students struggling with writing skills will be able to strengthen these skills and build confidence beginning by recording their stories. Also, the student can use the Apple iPads for reading fluency by recording and listening to how they are reading.
