My Students

We are in school face to face and the kids are really so happy to be back and doing amazing with all the new protocols and rules. It has been hard to gather them close together to read and while we love Storyline Online big time, I thought they would love all having the same book to follow along from and read aloud with!

I have a student who loves to read to the class and has inspired others to feel confident in doing this same.

Another writes us stories to have me read to them, they are so creative and I would love to do some winter writing!

All of these kids enjoy learning and I would love if they could take a book they love home with them for the holidays.

My Project

I am planning to teach my students about ways to celebrate the holidays around the world. I think the more children know about diverse cultures and experience some of the traditions, the foods and decorations, it will help them to understand and appreciate others as they grow up. The holidays are not one size fits all and there are so many wonderful things we could incorporate into our own lives. Also, we will write about our "trips" in our passport logs. We plan to "travel" the world this month and experience tastes, crafts and fun!
