Help me give my students an opportunity to expand their flexible seating options and provide them with an alternative to writing on paper to maximize student success.

My Students

My students come from various cultural backgrounds. Many of these backgrounds do not allow for student choice or empowerment. Therefore I would like to facilitate this when they walk into my classroom. Here they can grow individually, and access the curriculum through movement and hands-on opportunities regardless of their socio-economical environment outside of school.

My students deserve a classroom environment that helps ensure academic success.

Giving my students control over choosing where they can best focus and chose to learn from adds to their overall academic success, for example - to see the board, to collaborate with a peer, or to spread their work out in a big area. It makes sense to offer today’s children multiple options to feel comfortable, safe, and in full control of their learning.

My Project

Students will be expanding their flexibility in the classroom by adding two wobble stools. They will also have access to individual clipboards/whiteboards. This will allow them to not be confined to a desk at the same time allow for social distancing, with our evolving education system in our current era.

Flexibility engages student movement which in return stimulates the brain.

By providing these items you are providing students to be in charge of their learning which in return promotes academic success.
