My Students

My students are fun, energetic, and hard working. I had these same students in second grade and I am happy to see some of the seeds I planted grow into healthy minds. They are independent learners who have to work together to move forward.

There are so many people who want nothing but success for these kids.

I give them everything I have and that is why I am asking for help. We live in a fast-changing world and in order to adapt, the class must always have access to accredited material.

My Project

My 5th-grade students are struggling with their vocabulary. Some have an expanded use of words. However, many do not. They struggle to find the meaning of words and that interferes with their comprehension because they lack a good foundation for word use. I have found the perfect application for them on the iPad and I need these devices so they can access this.

The larger their vocabulary, the more successful readers they will become.

There is a specific app called World's Worst Pet available on the iPad that I want the students to use. This app coincides with an online service they are using for comprehension and vocabulary. I know the iPads will give them a serious advantage in the classroom and the outside world.
