Help my students to successfully participate and enjoy school!
Our elementary school is in a high poverty area and many students come to school hungry. Not all of my students are able to participate fully in their general education without extra support. These materials will help my students learn how to be successful, independent, and happy in life.
My Project
My students need an exercise mat for our new sensory room in order to complete daily physical therapy exercises and sensory calming activities. This mat will be used to complete different strengthening stretches and movements in order that my students to participate safely and happily in their school environment. It will also be used to complete calming activities using yoga balls. The exercise mat will be a vital addition to our new school wide sensory room. The physical therapist, occupational therapist, and I all collaborate in order to make the best program for the students so they can participate the best they can in the general education setting.
