My Project

Hi there! Thank you for considering my project! My resource room is in need of executive functioning materials for my students. Executive functioning has become a huge part of educating students, along with reading and math. EF includes skills such as working memory, planning, organizing, problem solving, time management, focusing, attending, analyzing, processing, and so on. These skills are crucial for developing appropriate study habits through middle school, high school, college, and beyond, and teaching must begin at the elementary level.

Therefore, I am requesting activities and materials which will improve students' understanding, competency, and application of executive functioning skills in their everyday life.

For students with disabilities, these skills become all the more challenging, and explicitly teaching them, all the more important.

My students are aware of their challenges in executive functioning and yearn to learn and develop strategies that will benefit them. I am excited to give them an opportunity to a well-rounded education and increase their confidence and self-esteem.
