Hello! Thank you for visiting my page. I am a Reading Specialist for one of only 4 Public Charter Schools for children with dyslexia in the United States. Dyslexia is a language-based processing disorder that can cause problems in reading, writing, and sometimes speaking.
Our school began in 2018 and provides free and appropriate education to all children with dyslexia.
I provide personalized instruction and enrichment to small groups of children in grades 1-5. I want to help my students succeed with new, exciting, and multi-sensory tools to teach them the way they learn best.
My Project
I work at a brand new Public Charter School exclusively for children with Dyslexia. It is located in Easley, South Carolina.
My Dyslexic students are smart, creative, and hard-working.
This project will help fund multi-sensory games and activities to help them learn the way they do best.
I want to give my students fun and exciting new ways to learn. The games and activities that are included in my project involve visual, auditory, and tactile processing. Used in combination with Orton Gillingham training, they will help my students learn and succeed and have fun while doing it.
