My students need materials that will make them want to come to school and learn while having fun. This project is for lights and music for room transformation.
My students love to walk into the classroom and love to learn new topics. They are well behaved and often times need to be rewarded for academic achievements and behavior. We are a title 1 school district and a title 1 school. The school has over 70% free lunch. Positive learning environments are a necessary component for learning and often overlooked in my classroom due to the growing demands of the school and system. My students deserve the best in my classroom.
My Project
Research says that students who are engaged and feel loved and appreciated do better in those classes. In our school, we have a system of rewards that doesn't necessarily reward all students who need to be rewarded. In this project, I will use lights and songs to congratulate, engage, and make the students feel welcome in the classroom. I will have a leader board for academics where we will reveal the top students for the week. There will also be a magic button moments through the day. This is a button that is pushed when students do well as a small quick reward.
