Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a group of 18 amazing second graders including seven English language learners. Our school is a STEAM school that focuses heavily on technology. We have iPads for every student. My students are motivated learners and always come to school eager to learn. All of my students eat breakfast and lunch at school and many of them stay after school for tutoring and a snack.
My students are always asking for fun and new games to play!
Having several different ways to master key skills will help ensure success for all learners.
My Project
My students are always asking for fun and new games to play. Educational board games are their favorite way to learn! Providing exciting new games to play will help their brains grow, teach social skills, and provide teamwork experience.
These materials will help me provide an exciting experience for all students.
The games will provide reading and writing practice in a fun new way.
By providing new ways to learn language skills all students will have a chance to succeed. Many of my students are hands on learners that need skills presented in a new way. These games will not only teach them ELA skills, but also how to work with others.
